Michael Hutchinson
There isn’t a lot to be said about ‘Hutch’ that hasnt already been said. Writer, speaker, Cambridge PhD graduate, oh, and he rides his bike a fair bit. When we say ‘a fair bit’, he is one of those rare beasts that rises just after midnight to get to a race venue (namely time trial venue) to be pushed off just as the sun is coming up, clocking up 100 miles before most of us have stirred.
Michaels time trialling exploits are amongst the greatest in the sport. He has won approaching 40 national titles, come close to the original hour record (and written a book about it) and ridden the very highest level time trials in the world such as the Grand Prix Des Nations and Commonwealth Games.
Hutch writes a popular column in Cycling Weekly, documenting all things cycling. It is slightly left field but always humourous.
Michael’s experiences and sharp wit are a must for any dinner, sports award ceremony or business meeting that requires in sight into what it takes to achieve your goal, whilst having fun getting there.
