Yanto Barker

Yanto Barker is a professional racing cyclist, entrepreneur and commentator.

Born in Machynlleth, Wales, Yanto has enjoyed a successful cycling career. After winning the British National Junior Road Race Championships, he was selected to ride for Great Britain at 19. He turned professional in 2000 and enjoyed success in France, winning prestigious Mavic Cup races and stages in races such as the Circuit Des Mines. In 2005, he was the highest placed British finisher in the Tour of Britain, taking 9th place. Yanto took a break from professional cycling to establish top end clothing brand Le Col but was quickly tempted back to the peloton.

Now a professional with Team UK Youth, alongside Paris Roubaix winner Magnus Backstedt, Yanto continues to grow Le Col and over the last couple of years has moved into television commentary. He was the main analyst on ITV4 coverage of the Tour of Britain in 2011 and has commentated on key races on Cycling TV.
