Matt Stephens

Matt Stephens is a former Olympian, British National Road Race Champion and Grand Tour rider. As a professional rider Matt finished 7th in the amateur world road race championships in 1995 and gained the hearts of the italian public with his incredible exploits in the Giro d’Italia in 2000. He is one of the best known British riders of his era, having represented Great Britain in seven world championships, 1 Olympic Games and 1 Commonwealth Games. During his fantastic career he took seven Premier Calendar wins on home soil.

Since retiring, Matt has carved a media career. He has appeared as an analyst on ITV4 coverage of the Tour Series and Tour of Britain. He has been the race reporter at ITV4 coverage of Revolution, presented features on the Cycle Show for ITV4 and commentated on Sky Sports coverage of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series.

Matt is at home on television or as a guest speaker or presenter at events. He has entertained guests as a speaker at the Mario Cipollini Gran Fondo, The Pedal Club and was a UCI driver at the London 2012 Olympics.
